Regional Biomass Resource Assessment

The Biomass Resources Assessment Training Workshop was held from May-June 2003. The course was run in the SOPAC countries of Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, Tuvalu, & Kiribati

Project OutputTraining materials prepared, including additional resource materials. These have been and cut onto CD and distributed to PIC trainees. Training successfully completed in all scheduled PICs (Fiji [including case study for Fiji Sugar Company], Tuvalu, Kiribati, Vanuatu, Samoa and Tonga)

CommentsAs only six countries were able to benefit from this initial training and resource assessment there was a need deliver the same level of assistance to the remaining PICs during 2004/05.
